I have slipped up so bad in that the blog has gone down the tube this last month. If there are birthdays I missed, well, my bad. I am so sorry. This is a good/bad time of the year for me. It is the start of the Christmas holiday season. I know it is only October, but, there is so much decorating to do at our house I have to start early. It this point I have up 23 trees leaving another 7 to get decorated in the next month. Doesn't sound bad but the fact is that the trees are just the first phase. Then there is the cleaning of the house. Doesn't do any good to get that done before I start putting up the trees,. Then there are all the decorations that have to come out and be put in place, the groceries have to be bought for the parties and the list just goes on and on.
We had Ian with us this weekend. I tried to get a picture of him by the tree where we could super-impose Tristan into the picture. That did not work but we did have a few cute shots of Ian.
Every one seems to think I am going to warp this kid because he had his first Christmas pictures made before his first Halloween pictures. We had to dig out a spider to have his picture made with just to make everyone happy.
True confession time....I do NOT have all my Christmas cards addressed. Isn't that awful? If they are not finish within the next two weeks I will be in serious trouble for the holidays. Nana stuff just has changed the priorities around here.
You see I had to wait until Aunt Kari left to get out the spider. She freaks out when she sees it. I don't know why, but she does.

Rhonda was holding Ian and I was playing with the spider. As you will notice the bib says.."Got Candy?" Don't know why he has a bib like that cause Mommy and Daddy won't give him any candy. Poor deprived child. Nana feels sorry for him.
Any ways, I understand it is a surprise what Ian will be for Halloween. I know that Tristan will be a skeleton. His outfit is soooo cute. Can't wait to see a picture of him in it.
Another Random Thought: The trees around here are absolutely beautiful. I am mesmerized by them every time I get out. Promise to my self........ IF I live long enough there will be a trip to the New England area to see all the fall foliage sometime before I die. There are only two destinations I want to make before the Good Lord takes me home. New England in the fall of the year and Alaska when it is cool but not sub zero. I also don't want to be there during bug season. Spring thaw might be nice.
I also desire to make it to Branson. If my husband reads this, my goal is to make it to Branson before Thanksgiving 2010. That is just around the corner. If you don't go with me I be I can make it a girls trip with some friends. Better be deciding. You know you can control my spending better if you go with me. So think about it!!
Well, the shortened version of the random thoughts must come to an end. I will be adding pictures to my holiday blog shortly and I will add a blog with nothing but my thirty Christmas trees as soon as all the trees are decorated. Until then, Hi ho, Hi Ho it is off to decorate I go!
Still trimming trees,
Vera
